As one of the tallest skyscrapers in the world, the iconic building is frequented by countless visitors per day. It is therefore imperative that there is frequent maintenance of physical security and protection from access breaches and threats. There is a need to implement an optimal integrated security management system to ensure uncompromised security, without being intrusive to the building’s visitors.

Comprehensive Security Network Structure

ST8100 SecurNet, the Integrated Security Management System (ISMS) was implemented to meet the building’s need for tighter and enhanced security. The ISMS is a fully integrated computer-based card access system, equipped with alarm intrusion monitoring and control system for restricted areas throughout the premises. It comprises of the Electronics Access Control System (EACS) and integration with Network Closed Circuit Television System (CCTV) and Video Management System.

The staff’s pass was designed as a single card system unifying physical access control with stored value traits, which meant that staffs could use that same card to purchase meals internally.

With the successful deployment in commercial buildings, ISMS has further evolved to date. The system is now in its seventh upgrade and has been deployed in hotels and museums with biometrics capabilities in China.
